diy wind on leader

Good day All,

apologies if this has been asked before, Couldnot find anything on it,
I have been attempting diy wind on leaders with dacron, the problem i have is when i splice the dacron into a look, if i pull on the spliced end gently , it comes out, is there a way to secure this?
