Ai this mornings session only gave me some bloodied knees.

Not even one bite and a couple of tumbles on the rock.

Got stuck a few times.

As die Suidoos gaan le, dan moet jou aas in die water wees. Die Lugdruk bly egter laag. 28 Desember lyk vir my baie goed, maar as jy nie vroeg oggend tot 10:00 en smidae van 16:00 tot 20:00 aas in die water het nie kan jy maar los........

Hi guys I am still blanking .

I have found a good spot that works and other people have caught fish there it is supposed to be a hot spot for cob and elf.

This is where I fished today.

The swell is still massive,  I am casting from the righthand side rocks,  but can't go to the left or far forward due to the big waves.

Had a quick on off on pilchard and a few pecks on chokka.

This afternoon I tried everything!

Chokka
Pilchards
Surface lures
Spoons.


Small ones suckling the meat off the Pilchards
But can't bite through the bones.
The lures are followed by...... believe it or not...... puffer fish!

No.....


I want cob or garrick or elf but no puffer fish follow my lures.

Then I lost my best spoon  dammit.

So I only have tomorrow......

What must I do now.


The water is so clear .... can't fish in this only good for diving.

I give myself zero for results but at least an eight for effort.

Dont give up ... ever , seems like the water is to clear at the times you fish , have you tried early morning just before sunrise and at sundown into the semi dark ... during the day if its bright and water is clear scale down in tackle size and fish light to ultra light in the gullies , thats where the fun is and some species will be hiding because of clear water , as they become easy targets for the bigger fish ..give it a try ..

I have been there early and late.

Today I tried low tide which was middle of the day.

At least in the middle of the day the peckers are awake and there is some action. At sunrise and sunset I have caught nothing and nothing bit. I will try early tomorrow again.

Lekker, jy was eerste om die dag te sien breek, koester die oomblik..........


Ek het vandag baie vinnig in die omgewing aangegaan om iets af te gee, toe ek sien hoe skoon die see is was dit maklik om na 15 minute weer te vertrek.


Wees geduldig, jou beloning wag..............................
