Mapelane information please

I am wanting to go to Mapelane from 28th September to the 2nd October. Was hoping to hear what the bay at Mapelane was like, is it sanded up or not. Would also like to know what the fishing has been like and what we could expect to catch at this time of the year. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. We will be fishing from the shore.

hit the search box Huntley, mapelane has been discussed at length here. been 2 years since I was last there so not sure about the bay. this weeks kingfisher report didn't have anything about mapelane either
