Are any anglers using either of these two methods here in South Africa?

It's all nice and fun, till a BIG shark takes that bait!

Then, with less than 1/3 of the line left in the reel how are they going to fight it and bring it back?!

Hi, saw a video of one of these blasters being used opposite Southbroom beach. They used a small  compressor and car battery to charge the blaster. Colin, :toppie:

I don't know if I would be comfortable spending a small fortune on a drone and then risking it flying over the water. it also does not look like it would habdle bigger baits, Heads and whole bonnies that you would use on a paddle bait

Kanon Marine Reserve...
I was invited to an outing by a Protea angler at Cape Vacca commonly known as Kanon.
About 8+ anglers were present and with the Parks Ranger opening the gates we were granted access to Cape Vacca Conservancy Marine Park.
Weather conditions appalling with a south wester blowing and charging the sea to 2mtrs plus. The drone flew with some difficulty at times, airlifting large yellowtail/bonnie baits, to +- 200/300 mtrs out into the bay.
Some large 2mtr + rag's landed, tag's fitted pics taken and released.
See Feb/March RSD magazine cover pic.
