just a quick report of what we got up to last week.
the plan was to take Jampacked up to moz and leave her there so when Wayne shoots up in December he does not have to tow.
myself and clint a mate from our club left at 3am on Saturday morning and after the border crossing being not to bad we decided to by pass maputo and use the moambo rd.
clint's dad returned the previous week and had told us the road was in good condition.
we have used the road before and what i did not know that there are actually 2 gravel roads that you can use and as it turns out we have been using the worse one of the two all this time
turns out that the OTHER road was a pleasure to travel on and just after 2 hours we where at the train bridge and back on the tar road
we arrived in time to catch the boks been beaten and had a good meal and some

at lighthouse beach bar before going to bed after a very long day
Sunday we lazed around and prepped the boat for the rest of the guys that were flying in on monday
Monday we drove to inhambane and pick up the wayne and brian and had a lunch at the Pescador which is situated on the harbour/lagoon
Tuesday morning we were up at 3 am so that we have enough water in the bay to launch as it turns out this was to be our best weather day.
the game plan was to give this jigging thing a go despite having all the right gear for some time now we have never tried it before.
we ran south and at our chosen spot we had great showings on the sounder and we started jigging.
we ended up catching about 7 different species including a yellow spot king fish, kaakap, bluefin king fish and some rockcods.
Wednesday the weather was going to be a bit windy so we opted to try pin a few sails but were only able to catch a small wahoo and yft with the condions
Thursday blow out
Friday we made our way to some jigging spots and i only manage what i am told is a glassy kingfish,we lost about six jigs to couta and one stage we had a dorrie following a jigs to the boat as luck would have it i had a trap stick baited and fed the dorrie hooking him about 2 meters from the boat and landing him quickly.
we then decided to troll our way back and look for some sails again.
having just put out the spread we had a saily in the spread and after shopping around for 5 or so minutes he knocked the shotgun but no hookup
we headed back and managed 3 more dorries the biggest weighing 18 kilos
