DIY Beads, glow in the dark
« on: September 16, 2012, 11:17:51 AM »
My wife use glow in the dark for her fingernails an it look cool in th dark, then I remember somebody asked where thy can find beads that glow in the dark and it gave me an idea- Make it yourself !! I test it and work fine !!What you need is : Acrillic powder - Glow in the dark powder - Nail glue and nail sealer. Put a wire inside the bead - (paperclip will do) Put some glue around th bead and dip the bead in the (warm heart crysal power) mixed with the glow in the dark powder wait till glue set and do it x3 for better results - To finnish it off put sealer around the bead with the glow on the dark on.
Remember to keep turning th bead while doing the process- It will prevent the bead to stick on the wire.
Not sure why they mixed the Accrilic (warm heat crystal powder) with te glow in the dark powder.

I did test the bead in the fishing pond and work perfectly can see the movement of the bead when moving the bead inside the water, Wil test it during the week to see for how long it can glow in the water, I did give it some extra light before i put it in the water the bead was shining like a star, the beads do burn  all night long in the house.
