Here is my favourite Natal edibles Bait - the Prawn-Chokka Combo
Deadly for Stumpnose, Pompano, Kingfish, Snapper, Rockcod, Wave Garrick etc
The video can be seen on Youtube.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZTMVoqW-vQ (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZTMVoqW-vQ)

Haakies also caught some very nice cracker on the same principles in the southern cape about a year or so ago...
He took the chokka and beat that together with the prawn until it became a pulp... Bunched it together around a 6-8/0 and tied with ghost cotton. White steenbras and Kob will also pick up this bait.... It was his intended target until he found the Crackers were going crackers for the bait, especially in sandy areas with isolated reef structure....

You've got some fast hands there Tony! Never seen someone hammer a chokka like that :hehe:

Was difficult to see, but did you put a pin/toothpick through the eye of the hook to stop the bait sliding? Very good bait!

I was thinking the same thing Krissi. Looking at the final pic of the bait it doesn't look like it though. I think that a toothpick will help with a bait like this though to prevent the hook from turning.
