Good day to you all
I am one of those guys that will remove my line as soon as I think it has been damaged, I am just to afraid to loose a fish. So as we all know that it does take time to do so, I have come up with this idea.
I took a piece of threaded bar, Machined the one end down to fit into a batery drill, put a nut on and then just add one emty spool and tightin it up with another nut.
Now all you need to do is insert into drill and press button.
Hope this will make someone's life easier.

Great idea and have used it to good effect in the past.
Remember to tune your drill down - otherwise going to be the fastest run you ever had and if a little overwind happens you and you precious will be flying around the garage :lolo:

Great post Fritz! Been using this for a while now. And when I respool a reel with braid backing, I remove the spool from the reel, clamp it in a drill (with some tape or cloth protection of the spool shaft). The spool of braid goes into another drill with the mechanism you use. This way the braid can be wound onto the spool with hign tension and resistance. The drill with the braid spool turns in reverse providing an excellent way of tensioning the braid.

very cool method!

Very clever way of winding braid ... :tkx:
