Hi guys,
So growing up I had a book called 'a guide to freshwater fishes of Southern Africa' by Paul Skelton and I owe basically everything I know about fish to that book (I was interested in animals so I had similar books on mammals, birds and reptiles and also trees of Southern Africa) anyway I still use them for reference these days, I've bought later versions of most books and the ranges of the animals have been adjusted to the time of the version but when I bought the later version of the freshwater fishes, I was disappointed to find that even though a handful of new fish were entered in the book, there was no adjustment whatsoever to any of the fishes range on the map, so essentially I'm looking at where the fish were 30years ago, not currently, I have a book on freshwater organisms which include fish and have later versions of fish species range and I have have a book on alien animals which has updated versions of the introduced fish but still both those books are about 10 years old... So where will I find updated accurate info on different fish distributions or range in Southern Africa
