Title: Braid as hook snood
Post by: Nooduck on November 27, 2019, 08:24:00 AM
I have been very busy the last 2 weeks or so preparing for the December holiday by making traces every night.

Have any of you ever used braid as a hook snood?

I think it will tangle too easily in the surf ?

It will also lack the abrasion resistance necessary to avoid being rubbed off by the fish's teeth and rocks etc

I see another 2 weeks of trace making coming up ..

Maybe with really heavy duty braid it will work and they have to be short .. :dunno:

Nooduck hi, what would be the idea behind wanting to go to a braid snooty ?
I was replacing the braid on a reel and it feels like such a waste too not re-use something, the braid also looks like sea-grass.......
BUT
its a k@k idea......did not think about the surf effect and tangling
