Basically three documents
1. CAT R skippers
2. Boat COF
3. Harbour permit (pink disk)

Also make sure the all round white and running lights are on separate switches.

Martin, you will need to obtain a port disk from transnet where they will check all your usual boat documents and issue if in order.

You can then launch at the public slipway.

Alternatively you could contact one of the clubs at the durban harbour and they will assist. You will be required to join the club if you choose this option.Durban boat owners is a good club to look at as the fees are reasonable and you can park your trailer and vehicle behind locked gates while fishing.

Hope this helps. You welcome to contact me should you require more info.

Shu, do you have some ballpark figure for their fees? I need to join a club to get a permit for my fishing ski

Yip, COF covers that, you can't get a COF without it.
