A question for the Natal resident members.
I have an offer to fish offshore this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, launching from Richards Bay.
My forecasts look a bit dodgy at this stage.
Could those with local knowledge of conditions please check your forecasts and advise me.
Is it worth the 12 hour drive down from Limpopo to fish this weekend, or would I be better off waiting for an improved forecast?
2 of our group (including me) are total optimists and will fish anywhere or time, but the other 2 are more fair weather fisherman, hoping for a good social / holiday out of the trip.
I would appreciate all your thoughts.

Looked at windfinder and it looks very fishable... it obviously depends on the size and capability of the boat

Friday is looking fantastic weather wise but with NE wind blowing fishing is looking a bit down. Sat and Sunday is going to be a bit bumpy but the wind is going to change to SW and the air pressure is picking up so the fish will play ball if you have the right stuff......
At least no rain predictions :rain: swr
Enjoy if you going out, tight lines and be safe.
And what John F said :rck"

Wind finder looks good.

Depends what you want to taget. Guys are getting daggas at rbay, but game fishing very slow, reverse current with dirty water. Some snoek coming out though

No problem there... 20' Kingcat with uber experienced skip :-)
Edit:... when I say "Uber"... I don't mean "Uber" w;k

Thanks guys. All advice is appreciated.

What's the best lure and retrieve for snoek? Only caught 1 once... By fluke. And when I say "by fluke"... I mean by chance w;k

Right now, off the boat, they are eating small sprat spoons and couta casting no 1 spoons. Retrieve mostly as fast as you can go, but also in between walk the dog and also sometimes let spoon sink before starting the retrieve. Look out for birds behind the backline
