Post by: Nikao on November 10, 2016, 05:04:13 PM
31/10/2016 was an awesome day on the water off Durbs we managed to go 1 for 1 with a nice black of about 150kg fight took just over an hour and fish was safely released to fight another day check out the Video link.. we also managed a nice bull dorado about 8 to 10kg and a small tuna perfect for sushi... all in all a good day on the water.

Nicely done Rich.
Client was fortunate to have all his teeth as well ... just pictured if that line had snapped while he was doing the 180 degree pump.

Always enjoy seeing the Marlin lit up like that.

Nice!!! :envy :cgrts: :cgrts: :cgrts:
If you would accept my humble crit - keep the one motor in gear as you get the fish close and wire it on the move, always into the current and the fish won't circle.

Nice Rich. Agreed with Dugong but I know its not easy when you skipping and have to leader the fish on your own.

How those Mercury's treating you Richard?

Thanks Guys

@ Dugong i agree i did have the Starboard motor just clicked into gear with the port motor up. the fish kept trying to tangle on the motors and didnt give me many options as it was just myself trying to stear boat guide and leader fish.. lol things got a little crazy at some points..

Nice!!! :envy :cgrts: :cgrts: :cgrts:

Hats off to you, the big problem is clearing lines, do you just stick to a 5 spread then??

I tend to keep to a 5 line spread.. but if the weather is good i will run 7.. fish was caught deep about 500m of water..
