Morning chaps advice needed please , I am mainly a boat fisherman but am enjoying my rock and surf more and more am looking for a decent grindfr to pair with an old assassin beachmaster medium only fish for eds .have narrowed it down to 3 reels cabo 80 , new bullseye and saragoosa 10000 sw any advice much appreciated many thanks .

Don't know the Cabo, but between the other 2, the Bullseye would be my pick because it is a Big Pit reel, has a long cast spool and will get you further in than any other.
-
What is the price diff between the 2 ?
-
Gosa for me. Stronger than the Bullseye.
-
cabo 80 R2500 , bullseye R3000 , saragoosa R3500
-
cabo 80 R2500 , bullseye R3000 , saragoosa R3500
Check Ganis for pricing, cabo 80 for 1,950, saragosa for 3,165
That price on the bullseye sounds on the low side, where is the quote from?

I have a friend that fishes with the cabo, he is very happy with it. But if I had the money then I would have gone with the Gosa. Couple of other friends own the Gosa and the Bullseye. They all are happy with them. The Gosa however seems to last longer, especially if you are hard on your tackle.

New bullseye is basically a saltwater ultegra a downgrade on old bullseye im told basil manning has them for R3000

Long cast reels are made for catching carp and that sort of stuff they aren't suited for what you do in SA unless you are scratching for smaller fish which sort of defeats the purpose of a long cast spool. Spend a bit more and get the gossa and you will have a great boat and shore reel.

I again agree with cam . Lol
Most of what I wanted to say , he sAid .
Basicly if your casting distance , long casts , the be will be a better option .
The gosa at anything under 3500 is a very good deal.
And if you drop jigs on occasion , the gosa .
