Have tried the search function for my following problem, please direct if I have missed it.
Closet I got was reference to the cast control cap bush.
Sl30 - I have to literally use a plier to fasten the spool cap in order to slow down the spin even then it is a tad loose, new to multiplier casting and keen to learn to gooi using Reefs tut.
Have a grand wave 50 and always lacked the confidence to give it a go hence me getting a 2nd hand sl 30, smaller and easier to control .....I hope !
Any suggestions on how to sort, hopefully not a major issue.

That does not sound kosher. I will take the reel to an expert for a service asap. In the mean time make a small spacer from a thin piece of metal and place it inside the spool cap.

Thanks Nooduck, will give it a try, although not the most handy.

Take a Coke can and a pair of scissors....cut a round circle

Just replace the pin / shaft which in most properly worn down.. About R40.00.
Hope this helps. also check if the brass plate has not got a dimple in the centre from the shaft pushing on it.

Here's the tut.... http://www.ultimateangling.co.za/index.php?topic=35.0 (http://www.ultimateangling.co.za/index.php?topic=35.0)
You're probably missing the Brass Spacer inside the Cap. Order one from Kingfisher.

Thanks gents will check it out.
Reefs will have to sort my search skills out did try a search.
Your tuts do look simple....or so I thought when I attempted a service on my sons sienna 1000, it's now in parts in a bag. Despite using the recommended egg box for the parts I somehow misplaced / lost a "pin" a double L shaped thingy, must have been the dog.
Will tread very lightly on my sl30
