Title: Super fat mosquitofish
Post by: kaptein delarey on November 11, 2014, 04:35:52 PM

Caught a couple of these fat mamas at a small pond close to my home in Randburg.

Have never seen them this big and aggressive.

Used pink, white and green bits of Berkley Powerbait Micro Wigglers as lure rigged on a tanago hook.

Great fun when the big ones aren't biting.

Cheers

Surely that fish has eggs!? Must be pregnant...

Yes, definitely a pregnant female.

Interestingly they give live birth to small fry similar to aquarium guppies.
