So planning a trip to the Dam towards the end of November
We will be camping on a mates farm
Question
What Bait would be best in the dam at that time of year?
Thanks
-
Depends what u whant to catch

For carp-a rietvlei strop (braid would be a good option) plain bom one top hook any sweet floaty and one the other a bun spice mielie or any strong mielie with bun spice dip. Yellow fish and muddy would also like that and for barbel a muddy head with muddy oil.

thanks
I will try for carp and yellow
Follow that up with a Barbel rod at night. Will use liver if I dont have a head
I just dont want to go out and blank

Chicken liver and muddy oil also work well for tha big catches

Ox heart works well but its hard to find :win:

Meat World in Springs, next to the market ,often has hearts ( sheep / beef etc ) . There is a meat world near you at the East Rand Mall. Regards :toppie:
