Title: Crossfire 2500 problem
Post by: Shivaan on September 09, 2014, 12:45:42 PM
Hi Guys

I decided to do a service on my Daiwa crossfire 2500 (older light blue one). Have serviced all my other reels and this is the 1st time I have a problem.

When I put the reel back together after greasing and oiling it seems to be rougher and squeaky. When i turn off the anti reverse the reel moves more freely yet the squeak is still there. Could it be the antireverse bearing. I did add oil to it...

Ja, sounds like your AR bearing is shot...

But its a new reel. Used twice. wanted to do a service because i know how these reel companies skimp on grease and oil. The problem wasn't there before I opened it up
