Hi guys i made a few of these for my old boat and they really worked well. Thought i'd share as i am having a pair made up again as i left them on my old boat by mistake when i sold it :unhap . They work really well for me in spearding out your spread a bit if you dont have outriggers.

Shot L Hooker, i really like that idea... i've got 2 sets (45 & 90 deg) but both sit parallel with the sea. :+ cred: for sharing

Cool bud, they work really well and with a 6ft rod in those holders they increase your spread width by 12 ft as the rods sit perpendicular to the boat. They simply slide into your existing 90 degree rod holder and bobs your uncle.

Thats a good idea, you should market them!
we have a similar thing mounted to our roll bars, you can adjust them higher or wider as you fancy.
in the pics you can see one with a rod in it and the other what it looks like on the roll bar.

Nice one... I've "invented" one that I called the side rigger... works in the same principle as an outrigger.... small rod (about 1.7 m long) that runs at 90 degre and is basically a way of running my short flat line in clear water....

Greg - I'm getting a few made up if anyone is interested.yip pretty similar principle to yours in the pics. If anyone is interested ill post some pricing. These I've designed also work lekker for a centre console puts 2 rods close to skipper at a lekker angle.
Marcos- post some pics would dig to check yours out.

I had some made for my centre console mono by boat Caravan & camping in Nigel. Give Johan a call, a complete set (Left and Right with the bases) cost me R1370.00 incl. They work like a charm, mine are mounted by the console. I'll try and post some pictures.

L H, I'll post some tonight, the server at work is on a go slow.

Seaport / Skiport have a similar rod holder which the base can be adjusted 360degree on the gunnels and the tube/rodholder from parallel to the gunnels up to 90degrees upright - sell for about R300 each
-
L H here they are.

LH, I'm interested in a pair

Looks like a good idea to spread your lures....
I have always wondered though why do we not see more outriggers fitted to T-tops of center console boats in South Africa, they are popular in the states......
Would they not work nicely if you made a bracket on your t-top corner with a tube at say now 40deg that you could swivel back and forth.
Do the guys not do this because of structural reasons? Would there be a lot of strain on the t-top???
-
L.H you still think your welding guy is interested, he seems to have gone very quite, think he has big jobs and not mush time for our 4 rod holders. Hammer they look good.
-
Thanks Hammer for the pics very similiar, iNdlovu i'll drop you a pm with prices. Kona spoke to stainless guy yesterday and he's going to send me quote today will let you know costs.
HooknCook some guys do use their rod holders attached to T Top, i just prefer the rods sitting within reach on the gunnel. If i run enything of the T TOp its usually the china rod in the centre.

Shag you get my mail mate?
