I found these on the web and might be handy
Instructions 1. Level Wind Reels o 1
Place an empty egg carton on your work bench in which to place screws, nuts and other parts as they are removed. Place the first item removed in the upper left compartment, the next part in the one immediately to the right of it and so on. When reassembling, you will easily be able to reverse the dis-assembly process and not overlook any important steps or parts.
o 2
Remove the cranking handle on the side of the reel with a small wrench sized to fit the nut on the end of the shaft to which the handle is attached. Some Abu Garcia models have a small washer or special screw on the handle to prevent the handle-nut from loosening during use. If your reel has one of these, remove the nut-stopper before removing the actual nut.

o 3
Remove the star-shaped drag adjustment nut located behind the reel's handle by using your fingers to unscrew it off the handle shaft in a counter-clockwise direction.
o 4
Remove the screws that hold the reel's handle end plate to the reel's frame, then gently pull the end plate free from the frame. Set the frame aside; the drag washers are inside the end plate.
o 5
Take a photo with a digital camera of the inside of the end plate. Refer to this photo to ensure tiny levers, springs and gears inside, which need to be removed or may move out of position, are repositioned correctly during reassembly.
o 6
Lift out the spool drive gear after which the main drive gear and the drag assembly can be lifted out.
o 7
Separate the individual metal and fiber washers stacked inside the drag assembly, making sure to use the egg carton compartments to ensure proper reassembly.
o 8
Wash the metal drag washers with mineral spirits to clean them of any remnants of the fiber washers that may be clinging to them.
o 9
Discard each of the old fiber washers from the drag assembly. Depending on the model of reel, there may be as few as three or as many as six. Replace each of the discarded washers with a new one.
