Title: First Proper Freshie Session
Post by: WalkersKiller on May 24, 2013, 12:35:53 PM
Alright the time has come to do my first "proper" micro freshwater session with bait, done a lof of micro artlure and fished size 12 hooks for small carp and kurper but tomorrow it starts. So amped, its weird how excited I am.

Fishing Modderfontein dam tomorrow, got my setup ready, tiny split shots, small lightweight floats, 4 weight fly rod combined with a shimano fx 1000 and 5lb line, with a 1lb trace and size 22 hook  :happ:

Looking for some small kurper, mozzie fish and maybe a minute carp or cat watch this space!

White or Pearl white grubs the Smallest you can find , on the smallest Jighead you can find . Dont know the are you gonna be fishin , but these baby grubs have proven them over and over again in many situations , Kurper , and Bass love them .

So I really battled on Sat with the micros, they just did not seem to be around, maybe the water is too cold? Didnt get any micros but managed my 70th fish species, an Asagi Koi  :-)
