visteroris I hear what you say ,but I promise you that we still bottomfish from st.lucia and i say again there is no law that say that we are not aloowed to bottomfish in the area as previous discussed.I know Pottie and if you ask him all the chaterboats had to tender for a concession that allows them to continou and also pay roylties back to kZn so he left. Also they as the charterboat operators had to sign a declaration that they and only they will catch no more bottomfish.Hope that this info is suffiicient.

From what I hear from a friend, recreational boats can still fish bottoms in St Lucia

Hi Guys
Going to Mapelane in 2 weeks. Could someone please send me some marks. I went once 4 years ago in summer and managed to get a few dorries but was fishing very blind. Could some one please also let me know what the fishing is like there at this time of the year. Great to have such supportive people on a fishing forum. My email is mngriffin11@gmail.com
Thanks again
Mike
