Hello, I was told I can only apply for a West coast rock lobster license when the season opens on the 16th of December. Is this true, or was the lady at the post office misinformed?

Shes talking nonsense you just take out a license and tick which boxes you want, You can have a permit all year, I took mine out in March this year and it is valid with all boxes ticked, Bait, Fishing, Spearfishing, Crays and cast net till next year March.
