Ok who is going to try this and report back?
-
Looks LIke some thing Bear Grilles will make in Ultimate Survival !!!
I am sure it will work ... w;k
-
why would you go through all that trouble idt, making a plain and simple fire is just so much easier
-
FLASH, my thoughts exactly. By the time that oke has made all the holes and bent the coat hanger, I am already chowing a chop.
Blitz rules!!

Don't make the holes too big!
Small alcohol stoves like these are renown for "popping" when the fuel/air ratio inside becomes just right. No one wants burning alcohol over their face.
But on the other hand they are generally safe provided you don't use a screwdriver to make the ports and fill it with nitromethane!
They do work a treat though.

Nothing can beat the old Optimus benzine pressure stoves (they also work with petrol ehn no benzine around, but then burn your pots black) - they fire up like a bomb and get very hot no matter what altitude - small, easy to carry. I have two that I bought way back in the 70's. Nice thing is that they are not fancy, easy to maintain and repair. I used to use them for mountain climbing. They have been a bit modernised since the 70's but still look the same - see http://www.optimusstoves.com/seen/optimus-products/products/katadynshopconnect/optimus-outdoor-kocher/optimus-hiker/ (http://www.optimusstoves.com/seen/optimus-products/products/katadynshopconnect/optimus-outdoor-kocher/optimus-hiker/)

But what is wrong with something small and portable like this ??
-
not bad if you have a team of sherpas to carry it for you.

Did you know Harry Manners at all - here in Mozambique.
And Werner von Abendsliben and Kruger the mad vodca Russian - they were all freinds.
I have a Team of Mega strong Shangaans lol

The only russians I knew were KGB. Is Tsutsuma not a Shangaan name? Does it mean "the carrier of heavy things" - if not, then you better change that name if you are going to move that thing around - can it serve as a braai unit on your boat?

In Shangaan = Tsutsuma is to "Do something fast - in a hurry"
When you say to a Shangaan "Tsutsuma" - the meaning is to hurry up like.
