STILBAAI WINTER FISHING
« on: May 09, 2018, 07:20:43 pm »
Good Day

I am new to fishing and I am going to Stilbaai this June/July.
I heard its not so great as in the summer , but what fish can I try to catch in in the lagoon/beach or at the rocks?

Hi Pieter,

Stilbaai is an awesome fishing town. Depending on weather winter can be good for fishing. We caught galjoen, elf etc during winter time. Also try Jongensfontein.

:welc: Pieter. Stillbaai and Jongensfontein offer great winter fishing with some good Galjoen catches. Use the search function to search for an article I wrote on fishing that area. You can also pop in at Still Fishing tackle shop for an update and advice when you are there.  :tite

I agree with the other guys. Don't be surprised if you hook a cracker while fishing for Galjoen. Jongensfontein is worth a visit.
