One night while on with something huge at the mountain, ray hall told me ease off the tension and it stopped and went the other way.

Them black rays just go to the horizon! If u ease off the reel empties quicker!
Men... what lies ahead on that beach... IMMORTALITY.... TAKE IT IT"S YOURS!!!!!!

An awesome read for a complete noob when it comes to big sharks. Just moved to PE and will definitely remember this (and read it a zillion times more) as a raggie is on my bucket list!

Could someone please tell me whether rays/skates or any other species dig themselves into the sand when hooked. I had something take my bait yesterday but could not shift it after setting the hook.  Thanks

Yup swart pylies and others do that..You have some chokka or chokka guts in yer bait by any chance and throwing a bait at night? It happens pretty reliably to me when I do that in your area at night..Or you hooked mother earth..
