Help me choose a Rod
« on: July 19, 2022, 03:33:14 PM »
Hi Guys,

I'm in the market for a new rod. I cant decide between the Assassin Bluefish 14ft 2-4 ounce and the Assassin Evo 3-5 ounce.
Getting the Evo at a really good price(used but like new)

Will be targeting mainly edibles, from Bronze Bream, Kob, Shad, Stumpies, Musslecracker, etc.

Will pair it with my Okuma Azores 65 reel.

Any recommendations?

Bluefish Zero or standard Bluefish?
If its the standard; I'd go for the Evo.
Does the Evo belong to Shikaar?

What is the difference between the two?

The standard Bluefish at R2700 is fitted with copies of Fuji's K Series KW guides on it (the ceramic rings are prone to popping and cracking)
The Bluefish Zero at R3500 is fitted with genuine Fuji KW's with Alconite rings.
WAY stronger. No popping out and no cracking (well you could, but it takes concentrated stupidity or a heavy fall)
