Boat choice please
« on: October 29, 2024, 04:28:28 PM »
Im sure this has been discussed a thousand times BUT Im soooo confused.
Ive been jetski fishing for years and now time to buy my first offshore boat...

We're a family of 5, so that's a start, I want to be able to tow to south coast and mozambique. All my launches will be surf.
I know I want a cat and Im convinced to buy 4 strokes.

My delema is size. The 16" seem to small, the FC seems like it has little relaxing space, so I'm thinking of a 17ft centre console like the Kosi cat 17ft CC.
But when looking these are expensive boats! It seems larger boats are cheaper, there's a stunning Sailfish 200, Ive never heard of it, is it too big to tow to Moz? Too expensive to run?

Your thoughts and experience would be much appreciated please... :tkx:

If you’re flexible on hull type I would recommend an Explorer Evo. Super stable, great for dam days and fishes exceptionally well offshore
