Giant clams (Tridacna spp.)
Horned helmet (Cassis cornuta)
Trumpet triton (Charonia tritonis)

 
Additionally the bag limit is 10 fish/species/angler/day
 
Please be aware that at certain locations (e.g MPAs), further restrictions might be in place.
 
Tourists are only allowed to take a total of 6 kg of fin- or shelfish  (e.g. 2 kg prawns + 2 kg lobster + 2 kg couta or 6 kg couta)...

I must admit I was always under the impression that SA boats were banned from removing any bottom species? this is good to know.

one of those myths...  people preach that to avoid abuse but it's not LAW...

John , can you please explain the 6kg per person. What happens if you catch one big fish? Is it 6kg (fillets)to bring home or how does it work?

What are the laws on billfish? The places we fish, you are not allowed to bring out bottom species or billfish? Is that just a local "law"?

Can't believe I left this one unanswered...

Well, this is a tough one... no one really know but as far as I know, the harbor will not be built... no funds have been secured and they are facing fierce competition from RB and Namibia... so far, there's dead silence about this...
